As a choreographic commission by the Rigolo Swiss Nouveau Cirque, Wings invites us into a poetic and contemplative world where dance and acrobatics merge.
Through thirteen evocative scenes, this piece follows a young woman’s search for her destiny, awakening in each viewer the longing to soar and open wide the wings that life has given them.
The international cast of circus artists and dancers defies gravity and death alike. Tap and hip-hop virtuosos meet physical theatre in a dynamic rhythm, while sculptural stage objects—specially created for the production—come alive, revealing the beauty, chance, and balance of nature.
The show culminates in the stunning Rigolo Balance Performance, where a single feather and thirteen palm branches sustain an impossible equilibrium.
A sensual blend of dance and aerial artistry, Wings is a mesmerizing flight into the realm of weightlessness. -
