Da Capo is an Italian musical term that literally means “from the head”, and it is used as a directive to repeat the score partially or from the very beginning of it.

Ten years ago I shared stage with Gustavo on a common project that sprang from our already existing friendship and the deep professional admiration that I had for the strength and genuineness of his choreographic language. Since then, both of us have gone through a fruitful decade during which we have been able to grow as creators and show the dance that better identifies us. The number 10 was and is a good one to celebrate the continuing enthusiasm and determination that still impels us to create. Nothing is left to chance. Everything happens for a reason. Da Capo is, thus, the result of this moment, it arises at this point as an artistic and vital “tabula rasa”. A meeting with the begging, a different look with the same eyes. Da Capo is an experimental work of creative research where our two restless minds share the same alphabet and merge in the same score.

Da Capo is the result of a kaleidoscope of scenes, memories, and recall, prisms that fit together and compose a journey of intangible plasticity, trying to transmit with the dance what only can be reached with it.
