Erick Jiménez

Originally from Costa Rica, Erick studied at the Universidad Nacional de  Heredia.  He also studied Language and Italian Culture at the Societa Dante Alighieri (Comiato di San José, Costa Rica) and at the Conservatorio Castella, with a specialty in art and theatre.
As a choreographer he has created works at the National University of San José (Costa Rica) and has co-created different projects for the Company Fernando Hurtado, Sesfebu, Musical, Estudio # 1 and # 2 and Kala.  Erick received the first award at the competition in Valencia, for his solo work Ecdisis.
In Costa Rica, he has danced with Co. Speculum Mundi San José, Co. de Cámara de la U.N.A Heredia San Jose,  and Co. Nacional de Danza San José.  He has also worked with the Centro Coreográfico (Valencia), José Antonio Orts, Photosensitive (sculptures/improv; Brussels-Belgium), Jumping in the Dark (Frankfurt- Mainz- Germany-Luxemburg), Christie Harry’s Improv/Installation at DanceWork (New York), Will Swanson (DanceWork), Tower of  Babel Improv/Installation (Dancework;  Frankfurt- Mainz- Germany), Co. Fernando Hurtado, Will Menter, a Jazz Festival tour in France, Co. Marina Donderis, Co.  Cienfuegos, Co. Enclave and Co. Patas Arriba, Spain. Assistant at the Choreographic Centre in Galicia (Spain).
