He began his artistic studies at the Castella Conservatory in Costa Rica, where he remained from 1983 to 1994. A year later, he worked for Gen Fest 95 in Rome, studied theology and sociology at the Mistici e Corporis Institute in Rome and Florence, and in 1999 completed his advanced studies in contemporary dance at the National University of Costa Rica. During that period, he also danced for various Costa Rican projects and companies, including the National Dance Company. In 2009-2010, he completed his master's degree in performing arts at King Juan Carlos University in Madrid.
This young performer and creator has an extensive resume, having worked with prominent contemporary dance companies. He has collaborated with groups and projects alongside prominent professionals on the international scene, including Bread and Puppet Theater, Will Swanson-Trisha Brown Dance Project (New York), École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque (Brussels), Mikhail Bahrysnikov, Rami Levi, Will Menter, José Antonio Orts, Enclave CIA, OtraDanza, Leonardo Santos, Pierre Bastien, P.A.R.T.S., Gustavo Ramírez, Nandayure Harley, Ramesh Shotham, Pablo Coello, Team in Time (Carlos Ramirez), Roberto Magro, Inma Rubio, Nasrin Amirsedgh, The Babylonian Project (Mainz Frankfurt), Rani Marius Le Prince, Eduardo Galeano, Helen Walkley, and Christy Harrys (Colorado/New York).
Erick Patrith is also a dance teacher, invited by numerous centers, universities, and internationally renowned companies, as well as theaters and festivals, where he conducts various workshops. Guest choreographer and touring director of shows produced by the Galician Choreographic Center from 2007 to 2009, Erick Patrith Jiménez co-directs the award-winning project Sólodos with artist Maruxa Salas. He currently pursues his artistic career alongside his studies in Ashtanga Yoga, Qigong, therapeutic massage, and osteopathy.
In 2010, he received the Best Dancer Award at the Valencian Community's Performing Arts Awards for the show Back.
